1. CUSTOM PC’S HAVE THE BEST PERFORMANCE FOR THE MONEY
Especially when it comes to gaming having the ability to choose your own parts is a huge advantage over a prebuilt PC. Since you can choose any graphics card you want, you will always get the best price on the highest end cards. Manufacturers make their money on overcharging for the same parts you can buy yourself for sometimes half the price!
2. A CUSTOM BUILT PC ALLOWS FOR EASY UPGRADES
One of the main reasons people want a custom PC is for future upgradability. This will ensure that 2 or 3 years down the line when your computer needs an upgrade you can easily swap out the parts for more current models.
3. A CUSTOM BUILT PC LETS YOU USE HIGHER QUALITY PARTS
4. A CUSTOM PC MEANS YOU HAVE COMPLETE CUSTOMIZATION
PARTS FOR YOUR BUILD
MOTHERBOARD
A motherboard is one of the most essential parts of a computer system. It holds together many of the crucial components of a computer, including the central processing unit (CPU), memory and connectors for input and output devices.
RAM
In a nutshell, RAM is an extremely fast component that temporarily stores all the information your PC needs right now and in the near future. Accessing that information in RAM is insanely fast, unlike slower hard drives which provide longer-term storage.
PROCESSOR
A processor, or “microprocessor,” is a small chip that resides in computers and other electronic devices. Its basic job is to receive input and provide the appropriate output. While this may seem like a simple task, modern processors can handle trillions of calculations per second. The processor being one the most expensive parts in your build should be something you spend a significant part of your budget.
STORAGE
The hard drive is where your computer stores data for the long term — not just the things you save, but all the code required for your operating system, the framework browsers you use to connect to the internet, drivers for your accessories, and everything else. When people talk about computer storage, they are referring to the hard drive (or SSD, see below).
CHASSIS
Alternatively referred to as the case and sometimes referred to as the system unit or base unit. The chassis is the housing that helps protect and organize all the components that make up a desktop computer. The picture is an empty computer chassis.
POWER SUPPLY
A power supply or PSU (power supply unit) is a hardware component of a computer that supplies all other components with power. When choosing a PSU you should always be looking for the 80+ Bronze, Silver or Gold symbol.
GRAPHICS CARD
The Graphics Card is responsible for rendering an image to your monitor, it does this by converting data into a signal your monitor can understand. The better your graphics card the better, and smoother an image can be produced. This is naturally very important for gamers and video editors.
COOLERS
Air coolers are quite good at relocating heat away from the CPU, but keep in mind that heat is then dispersed into the case. This can raise the ambient temperature of the system overall. Liquid coolers do a better job of relocating that heat outside of the system via the fans on the radiator.
Maximize your budget
When building your custom PC the first question we ask our clients is what are you using it for? This will tell us which price bracket to put you in and on which parts you should spend more money on. Since you are choosing your own parts we get to save money on things like a motherboard and spend more on the graphics card or SSD.
